Penang Botanic Gardens, a.k.a the "Waterfall Gardens" is a government operated tourist site in Penang Island, Malaysia. It is enriched with it bio-diversity of floras and faunas since its establishment in 1884. However, in most cases, only locals are familiar of the location, whereas lack of information and photograph as taken on the internet for the foreigners.
This project is to rebuilt Penang Botanic Gardens Website, from out-dated designed to well-constructed to serve its potential consumers. "Green, tranquil, and bio-diversed" atmosphere is planned to be delivered through new designs, as well as including interactive features in the interface for users to explore.
Dark green is selected as the primary colour for the overall design to create a serene and forested mood, whilst Orange Soda, acts as an accent colour, add liveliness to the overall screen.
PT Serif Regular, a serif font is selected for the title to give a noble impression to the audience; on the other hand, Averta Extrabold and Averta Regular are applied to headings and subheadings, and context respectively, serve to create a clean and tidy look to the website.
