For this project, we were required to create well designed and eye-catching packaging for a given product. The brand and product were assigned to us and we were meant to create something that will stand out on the shelf and attract consumers. My brand is the Puerto Rican rapper, Bad Bunny, and my product is beer.
I chose to design this product in a way that was fluid, colorful, and bold just like Bad Bunny. I used a warm/tropical color palette and a very bold font to catch the eye. I created a name for the product that not only represents his latest album, "Un Verano Sin Ti," but serves as a pun of sorts by emphasizing the "effect" the drink is supposed to have. This product will likely appeal to Bad Bunny fans due to the tropical vibe of his Puerto Rican roots, as well as the colorful aesthetics that represent him as an artist and a person.
Our first step was to research everything about both the brand and product we were given.
Once I had accumulated sufficient research, I began designing potential logos, colors, and elements in Illustrator.
Once I had decided which design choices I liked the best I took them to Dimension where I created a mock up of the product.
