#THAIFHAI. Community Screenings, special guests and nomad gallery. FIRST SESSION was great with different activities, including projection & discussion space - nomad gallery with the work “Fraternidad” by Gerardo Monsivais (Yeyo Moroder) and “Mantra” By Roxana Barraza (VjThai). 

Also showcased a selection of videos from our video and new media students from the workshops by Media Selectah at Museo Marco and Escuela Adolfo Prieto.

It took place on Wednesday 26 of March 2014 @ Escuela Adolfo Prieto, Centro de las Artes. Parque Fundidora, MTY.

 

THAI FHAI is a meeting place that aims at generating community around audiovisual culture, through community screenings and nomad gallery. It opens up a space for reflection about the creative use of technology and new media, exposing alternative and independent works, authentic underground jewels from Media Selectah´s own private collection.

 

Media Selectah presents in this first edition of THAIFHAI: “scratch!” “moog!” “haack!”. Each night we have a documentary as starting point, that shows the context, the tools, techniques and different approaches of the pioneers of electronic culture. And from here a curated selection of video art works, as a perfect excuse to encourage a dialogue between the community. Special guests will join us in this reflection and conversation too.

 

THAIFHAI @ ESCUELA ADOLFO PRIETO will be hosted 1 wednesday nite every month from March to June. 7 to 10PM.
