La Txaranga Ustekabe se fundó en Eibar (Gipuzkoa) en el año 2000, por un grupo de 16 amigos de la escuela de música de Juan Bautista Gisasola. Aun así han pasado más de 50 compañeres por la charanga. Por el 20 aniversario han realizado este disco a modo de agradecimiento por todo el apoyo recibido del pueblo de Eibar.
Después de un viaje al pasado, ustekabe recopiló las canciones que los habitantes de Eibar han cantado durante generaciones, cambiándolas para dotarlas de un nuevo ritmo y sonido. Así consiguen dirigir estas canciones viejas a un público joven.
La cultura es un punto muy importante en la historia de un pueblo y sus canciones lo son aún más, ya que retratan las diferentes épocas a lo largo de los años. Es importante no perder estas canciones para no olvidar nuestras raíces, porque la cultura es lo que nos une como pueblo.

The Txaranga Ustekabe was founded in Eibar (Gipuzkoa) in 2000, by a group of 16 friends from the music school of Juan Bautista Gisasola. Even so, more than 50 people have passed through the charanga. For the 20 anniversary they have made this album as a thank you for all the support received from the people of Eibar.
After a trip to the past, ustekabe collected the songs that the residents of Eibar have sung for generations, changing them to give them a new rhythm and sound. So they manage to direct these old songs to a young audience.
