ADOBE MAX 2022 KEYNOTE
I'm glad to share the work I've done for the Adobe MAX 2022 Keynote.
DRAGON
The Dragon was model in Substance 3D Modeler by Giovanni & Nikie added more high res details using Zbrush, she also did the texturing of the dragon, using UDIM workflow. Find out more info on the Adobe Art & Development team page.
ROCK & MOUNTAIN
For this project, I've started to make a scene in Unreal Engine, using usgs.gov data to block out the background mountains. The texturing was done in Substance 3D Painter.
The boulder was scanned from a climbing trip near Montreal using Substance 3D Sampler.
Wes used Zbrush and Substance 3D Painter to clean up the mesh and create a full 3D asset.
UNREAL ENGINE
Using ultra dynamic sky add-on was really fun and easy to use and allow to create an immersive environment quickly.
This is the latest version made using Unreal Engine, unfortunately I had to take a different direction.
ANIMATION
The rig was done externally and the animation by James Zachary, using Maya. Animation was transferred from Maya to Unreal/Blender using alembic cache.
NEW DIRECTION
I decided to use Blender/EEVEE to render the new direction. Lighting the scene with volumetric was helpful to add a nice gradient in the background.
