Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Bisley
This model started as a background prop for a different animation that I had to pull due to it not being ready in time. Later on I found myself wanting to learn how to sculpt in Blender and this unfinished model was screaming for attention. Much like Splinter named his sons after his favourite Renaissance Painters, I named Bisley after my favourite comic book artist, Simon Bisley.

Everything was made by me, including the box art which was done in the style of the original line of toys. Halfway through the sculpting process I found myself watching a load of old Japanese toy commercials from the 80s, which lead me to slapping a simple rig on him as I wanted to create a short toy advert in a similar style. I finished the the project off by hiring a couple of Japanese VAs on Fiverr which really elevated the whole thing. 

I would like to revisit this project in the future when I'm a little better at modelling, retopology and the like. The idea of creating an entire team of Turtles based off of my favourite artists is really appealing. I think the lineup would be Bisley, Kim Jung Gi, Doug Mahnke and Dedouze. All heavy hitters in my opinion.
