The goal of Stair Tools is to find creative solutions that invest a staircase in a public space, in this case the place here is an outdoor staircase of the Camille Claudel high school in Blois. This range of tools is inspired by the sobriety and geometric lines of "Stair squares" by Mark Regelman.
The two types of tools serve different functions; the smaller is used to extend the legs. The larger one provides a surface to put work items like a computer or books. Both objects also offer storage space under the upper surface. The prototypes made below were created in cardboard.
