Simunye: Multifunctional Educational Eco-furniture

The image below illustrates a possible option in whic the applied graphics can be coloured. The patterns are mirrored, but with the use of certain colours can represent a transition between grass, traditional patterns, shield and stars to buildings, cars and industrial structures. This suggests that there is no difference between the rural and urban communities and any assumptions made are based solely on perspective. As the project was aimed at developing educational furniture, this theme became a narrative in an attempt to bridge the gap between rural and urban communities by providing furniture to aid in the education of children in outlying communities.
