Rib Wrangling / Visual Effects

For this project, I was taught to create a scene using
Pixar's RenderMan, RIB files (RenderMan Interface Bytestream). This demonstrates and teaches us the
basics of Pixars 3D scene description language showing us how to operate everything from placement, and color, to lighting and shading all through a text editor. I created a kettle
using simple polygons &/or other geometry called quadratics.

Lighting, Shadows and Depth of Field
For my light sources, I used two basic Area Lights, one near the front to give a fill light
and the other aiming near the back to give it a slight rim light.
I did not want my lighting to be too drastic to give my scene a dark, elegant, vintage feel.
I kept my shading rate at 1.
As for the depth of field, I only wanted a light blur, therefore a put my f/stop at 5.6 with a focal length
of 12, making the cups on the side appear slightly out of focus while the pattern on the teapot
stays at full attention. I also rendered out various angles.
I added a displacement on my wood flooring giving it some detail and also added it to my roughnessMap
which makes the reflection of my lights more of a texture instead of being perfectly reflective like a mirror.
