    'Crow' costume and construction was the final culmination of my MA Costume Design for Performance work at the London College of Fashion. The piece is taken from a production of my own design based upong Ted Hughes 'masterpiece' work 'Crow: The life and songs of crow'. In this one scene the character of Crow becomes manifest in the materials of war as described in Hughes poem 'Crow witnesses a Battle'. He is born from the grim scene of a no man's land to become a creature that is not man, not bird, not machine and neither dead nor alive. The performance took place in the Sadler's Wells theatre, London. The piece was performed by Filippos Kanakaris. Read Less
