EVENT POSTER
This was an assignment for Typography class at Graphic Design for Print and Web program at Humber College (Canada), under the orientation of professor Roberto Rosenman.
We were given plain text to arrange into a clever design.
I though of playing with CMYK colours as the target audience for the film screening includes designers and artists that are familiar with this colour model.
I started with a nice headline, using Utopian typeface to play with the CMYK concept trough the poster as well as the graphics.
Then I added a graphic to the headline to introduce the colours of the project.
Grids were a fundamental part of the design. Combining columns with a couple of mirrored golden rectangles made the design dynamic while balancing asymmetry.
