What do you think of when you hear a specific word? For this exercise a word was to be chosen with its meaning conveyed through typography and placement only. Using Futura, the word ‘elimination’ is constructed with its middle being eliminated. As the ‘A’ falls out of the bottom of the word, it drags down other letterforms around it. A gradient of black to white also accompanies the falling letterforms as they disappear off the page.
