Research in Motion

Research in Motion is when Imperial College London researchers pedal science around the streets of London with Imperial's award-winning pop-up public engagement tricycle.

From liquid nitrogen ice-cream to solar sailing, the College's brain boxes kicked off the programme by dazzling and amazing the public during the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s Celebration of Science Festival. Hundreds of visitors on Exhibition Road had the chance to find out about topics as diverse as materials, microbes, solar sails and exploding chemicals.

The design, colour palette and illustration was created to work in conjunction with the Imperial Tricyle and is a daytime offshoot of the monthly evening series, Imperial Fringe.
