"Feeling!"
I believe that all women carry a bit about the spirit of Frida Kahlo inside of them. I speak about the brightness of her eyes, of the irreverence in his way of existing and her strength to overcome adversity.
I speak about her poetry, intensity, resilience and courage. Maybe that's why she is an artist so portrayed in our society.
This work was done in Canvas, using acrylic painting and oil pastel. The size is 54cm x 64cm.
The work was commissioned by Liliana Chopitea - a Bolivian living in Brasília-Brazil. The vibrant tones of the painting were brought in in order to rescue the sensorial explosion of the colors that Frida used in her clothes and accessories.
Her closed eyes have a symbolism: to light that all intense, radiant and extroverted women also need their moments of introspection and contact with the deep existence of their soul.
As you can see in this project, the use of this work as an illustration serves different uses such as: tea packaging, notebook covers, tags and other stationery items, book covers, clothing, wine labels, advertising, among others.
It is important to highlight that this is a personal and CONCEPT project inspired by the archetypal image that surrounds the mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
