Hereditary (Ari Aster, 2018)
[EN] Hereditary is one of my favourite horror films of all times and this year's Halloween I've made this fan art as a tribute to it! This illustration is made with some of the most iconic elements of the film: in addition to the family members, the house on fire and the headless birds are super important for the narrative (don't worry, no spoilers here!). The branches around the composition hark back to the family's troubled family tree! I tried to create a dark atmosphere and give the characters expressions of anguish and apathy.
[PT] Hereditário é um dos meus filmes de terror favoritos e nesse Halloween eu quis homenageá-lo com essa fan art! Para criar essa ilustração eu compilei os elementos que são, na minha visão, os mais icônicos do filme: além das personagens principais, a casa, o fogo e os pássaros sem cabeça são elementos super importantes para a narrativa (não vou dar spoilers!). Os galhos ao redor da composição remetem à árvore genealógica problemática da família! Eu tentei criar uma atmosfera sombria e dar expressões de angústia e apatia nas personagens.
