"Todo Sobre Mi Madre"/"All about my mother" new 20th anniversary edition cover for Criterion Collection, released 2019. 

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project as I think Pedro Almodóvar is a master of his craft. Watching and studying the film, from all the colourful visual details to the storyline and the development of the characters where very inspiring to me. 

Living in Barcelona (where the majority of the movie takes place) during the time of creating this was in itself a great inspiration. 

For the cover, I wanted to play with an important scene from the film, but give my take on it, using my visual language and playing with the shape of the boy watching his mother. You see the shadow of his back but it's also almost as if he's been cut out of the story.

For the inside I just wanted to focus on Manuela, the mother and main character. Her initial sadness and numbness that turns into a great strength throughout the movie.
