Biophilic Pattern Designs
Biophilic Design. What if we design with, by and for Nature? For the first time in human history human-made things now outweigh biomass- the mass of all living things. I call for a shift in human-centric design to Nature-centric design and for that to happen there must be a complete synergy between nature and humanity, and the disciplines of design, art, science, and engineering. And so, with that in mind I have looked towards a future where humanity is embracing natures engineering of organisms and cells structures, whilst inspiring textiles designers to use materials and designs that grow and adapt with nature such as biomaterials ultimately calling nature as a co-client, designing with, by and for Nature.
