IMPACT LAB 3: PLANET

Applied Design Project 

Description 

This semester for Impact Lab 3 we were tasked as a group to create and present a suitable design proposal within the brief of a 24-hour University campus. For this specific design I decided to focus my design heavily towards my chosen SDG from assessment 1. SDG 6 (Clean water and sanitation). From this I was able to produce a design concept centered around the idea of providing people at QUT 24-hour access to clean, purified and drinkable water. Additionally, I decided that this design concept could also allow users to detect how pure the current water they are drinking is. Finally, this design also promotes the idea of recycling and contains a small disposable port for empty plastic water bottles where users can earn points to spend on future university supplies.
