The Perfect Cup: A Guide to Coffee - Book Concept

This project was a study on the canons of page construction, utilizing certain 15th and 16th century page layouts in order to create a concept book design. In this case, I utilized a 9x9 division used by Gutenberg, the grid of which determined where text, images, and other elements would be placed. The study also emphasized a focus on Garalde typefaces which, in this case, were the only typefaces allowed for the project. In my book, I decided to utilize ITC Galliard Pro for headers and title text and Garamond for body text, not only for their aesthetic value but their versatility as well. I wanted my book to stay in line with the Mocha brand I had created earlier in this class, the creative process of which can also be seen on my Behance.
