Photo Assignment 5

With the rest of my photos capturing perspective shots, this picture was taken within my car. I chose the stop because it would give the feeling of being out in the open road, despite being captured in a parking lot. The parked cars also helped to create a similar atmosphere of driving alongside other cars.

With this picture, I tried to provide a new perspective of traveling on the road. The difference here is that this angle is from my backseat, giving the impression of being driven rather than driving the car itself. The blue car also helps by having a strong blue be the focus in the frame shot.

White Balance: Shade
Focal Length: 23mm
With this picture, I tried to capture the perspective of driving through a small forest. While the trees being framed aren't very big, they did provide a dense area to provide focus. The windshield also helped provide focus on only the trees as the rest of the area was covered by the inside of my car.

With this picture, this wooden fence creates a line leading towards the Walmart in the background. The grass also helps to allow the fence to pop out towards the eyes more easily. The fence also happens to fall on one of the rule of thirds lines as well, drawing in maximum amounts of focus.

Shutter Speed: 1/4000 sec
F-stop: 5.6
White Balance: Daylight
Focal Length: 20mm
When trying to capture the rule of lines, I believed that the road held great promise to show this. As seen, the road pavement is helped by the yellow line popping from all the gray. These two effects work together to draw the attention of anyone across said line.

With this image, the fence had aid from the water tower. Regardless of starting position, the fence and water tower operated together to draw focus towards a specific direction. This in turn, creates a line perspective to follow via the fence.

With this photo, I tried to capture the rule of thirds by having the water tower fall upon the top left intersect of the grid. Being the biggest object in the photo, it draws the most amount of attention. The trees also help provide a perspective on how tall it is, drawing even more attention towards it.
ISO: 400
Shutter Speed: 1/4000 sec
F-stop: 5.6
White Balance: Daylight
Focal Length: 300mm
With this photo, I tried to test if changing positions would alter the scene by much. In doing so, I changed the water tower from the left towards the right corner. Besides some visual adjustments, the focus still remained on the water tower as it was still on the line intersection.
ISO: 400
Shutter Speed: 1/4000 sec
F-stop: 5.6
White Balance: Daylight
Focal Length: 300mm
With this photo, I tried to see if I could produce the thirds effect with less zoom from the lens. Naturally, the smaller size of the water tower means I would need to adjust it so that it lies on the intersection again, but despite that, it still captures focus perfectly. The lessening in focal strength also meant that the tower could appear bigger than trees surrounding it much more clearly.
ISO: 320
Shutter Speed: 1/2700 sec
F-stop: 5.6
White Balance: Daylight
Focal Length: 155mm
