„Allein im Wald“ (engl. „alone in the forrest“*)
Original title „Ein Männlein steht im Walde“
is an old german children‘s song from 1843
by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben.

While the children‘s song is just about the
riddle, who the little man can be. The Illustrations
are more an adaption to the original song:
A mysterious little creature stands alone in the
forrest and all the animals are wondering and
curious, what and who he is. But the little man
just want to be alone! He feels threatened by
the animals and noticed, that he can‘t be alone.
So he just jumps home and gives the answer to
the riddle.
