In 1890, at the intersection of Canebière and the old port in Marseille, was born the first point of sale of confectionery Mignon, created by Maximilian and his wife Rose called "la Mignonne". This homemade candy was a great success and allowed the couple's children taking over the family business while continuing to develop new institutions under the name "Berlingots Mignon" in the south of France in the early 20th century.
