Cato the Elder conquered the dessert world back in ancient Rome with his world's first cheesecake. After almost 2,150 years, it's time for a new Cato to revolutionize cheesecake. The start-up from Essen (Germany) asked me to develop a brand identity that is not only franchiseable but also stands out from the mass of patisserie offerings.

The goal of the corporate branding was to develop a striking brand that has a high recognition value. At the same time, the signet had to show the character of the product and work across all media. The primary colors were chosen from a bright spectrum with contrasting colors from more muted colors. The result is a cool branding with accentuated accents and that certain something. Perfect for the young target group to also set focal points on social media. The identity runs through all media, from the packaging to the hoodies. Everything has to make a statement and be able to say "F*ck it, it's not just bakery".
