    Pink Shirt Day originated in 2007 after ninth grader Charles McNeill was bullied for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school. As a sign of solidarity, fellow students David Shepherd and Travis Price bought 50 pink tank tops and distributed them around the school. From that day forward the pink shirt has become a universal symbol for anti-bullying worldwide. To help raise money and awareness for Pink Shirt Day, internationally renowned artist Cason (Chairman) Ting was commissioned to create a T-shirt graphic highlighting the theme of intervention and encouraging people to have a voice against bullying.
