Tolán it’s a multifunctional and decorative funerary urn, inspired in the prehispanic Toltec culture.
Tolán´s contemporary design aims to make a tribute to the architectural and spiritual knowledwge Toltecs gave to the ancient world, a legacy to our entire culture and country.
It refers to the composition and beauty inherited from Tollan's guardians, “The Atlantes” who stood and overlook the city's entrance, protecting it's wonders and incredibly advanced knowledge.
Toltecs used to believe in soul's trascendence and illumination, they worshiped death, praxis that survived till our days, as an important part of Mexican culture identity. Tolan honors this part of ourselves, of our culture, our life and roots.
Divided in four stages: life's four offerings, Tolan as the Atlantes itself, guards the secrets of life, and the mysteries of death.
