Sonic Playground is a 5,680 square meter state-of-the-art entertainment complex in northern Thailand that consists of four unique entertainment venues, a lifestyle shop, creative studio and production warehouse.  The word “sonic” is used to describe the musical elements of each venue, while “playground” gives it a fun and playful attitude. The four entertainment zones are:

     1.  Echo Live Music Restaurant
     2.  Sonic Nightclub
     3.  Sound Wave:  Members Club
     4.  CNX Live Concert Hall.

 

The overall design direction was to fuse modern and nature themes. 
•  The design started with a geodesic dome to symbolize a futuristic full moon.  Full moons in Thai culture are very symbolic, but the full moon also stands for nightlife.  The geodesic dome also becomes the iconic image of the complex / logo, and one of a kind structure in the city.
•  Polygon shapes derived from the geodesic dome are the secondary symbols that create consistency with the brand both within the interior structures of the restaurant and nightclub and for the overall branding.
