Philippine Folktale Book Covers
Folklore stories from the Philippines face the issue of being lost and forgotten, just like their ancient writing systems. Stories were often shared by word of mouth and those that were recorded in writing were usually just compiled together in books with plain covers, which hid the various folklore, myths and legends behind it. And with the internet offering other forms of media and entertainment, it has dramatically lost its relevancy with the youth.
This self-directed project aims to raise awareness about Filipino folklore stories, by packaging stories with their own covers with contemporary designs.
