The experience in a hostpial is awful in general in China. My mother has been working in a big Children’s Hospital for over 30 years. And I basically grew up in the hopital since she was too busy to take care of me. Having seen a lot of unpleasant experience happened in the hospital by myself, I realized many problems are actually solvable and evitable.
I interviewed thirty patients in this big hospital about their experience. Obviously, most of the people hate their day in such a crowded and less of information place. Missing informative signs and lacking of navigation guides in such a big hospital which has three indenpendant buildings and serval three floors small buidling is definitely a disaster for patients. Nurse has to yell at patients to call their waiting number because sometimes people forgot to watch the order board. Patients carry their paper case report and persoal stuffs looking for places. Awaiting patients wonder around (especially children) everywhere. The nurse has to answer almost same questions to the patients in a row...
So I had an idea to design a mobile app to improve the communication between the hospital and the patient.
