The image above is a contour line drawing of a shoe that I made on Strathmore Sketch Pad paper. This is a type of drawing that does not use shading and requires you to draw an object without looking at the paper. I watched a YouTube video tutorial that gave me some tips on making your contour line drawing look nice. This type of drawing is fun, but I found it hard to complete the drawing without looking at my paper. Two tips from the video that I found helpful were to see everything that you’re drawing from the object as shapes and locate your stop and start lines.The materials I used to create this drawing were: 9"x12" Strathmore Sketch Pad paper and Dyvicl Professional Drawing Sketching Pencil B.
