Glass Bottle Design Competition

Each semester, students enrolled in packaging 221 (packaging with glass and metal) at Michigan State University are assigned groups and tasked with designing a glass package container for a food or beverage product. The package's structure, closure and graphics must be considered.

The Glass Packaging Institute (GPI) sponsors the competition. Projects are judged based on originality, presentation, drawing, feasibility, sustainability, graphics and the overall impression of the project as well as a written paper.

The top five teams out of 30 from each semester continue on to be judged by glass packaging professionals with the winner to be announced in the summer. My team's glass package design for G & N Honey was awarded 4th place for Fall semester 2013.
