1. Where do you get inspiration from? (어디에서 영감을 받는가? )
I am the person who doesn't wait for inspiration. I prefer to find it directly. If anyone have have an inspiration only thinking, it is Genius. Are you a genius? I'm not a genius. Inspiration does not come easy in life.
I don't know where it is. So I need to find a inspiration through collecting and learning. I think artist is a collector. By gathering information, artist find an awesome idea. So am I.

저는 영감을 받는 것보단 직접 찾으러 가는 편입니다. 제 생각에 영감은 정보수집을 통한 관찰과 습득을 통해서 떠오릅니다. 생각만으로 영감이 떠오른다는 건 엄청난 천재에게만 해당하지 않을까요? 여러분은 천재인가요? 저 역시 제가 천재라 생각하지 않습니다.
영감은 가만히 있는 제게 찾아오지 않으며 저는 그것이 어디에 있는지도 모릅니다. 그래서 저는 영감을 직접 찾아야 할 필요가 있습니다. 그 방법은 바로 수집과 공부라고 생각합니다. '왜 내게 영감이 떠오르지 않는 걸까?' 라고 생각할 필요가 없습니다. 자신이 직접 찾으러 가면 됩니다.
저는 '아티스트'가 수집가라고 생각합니다. 아티스트는 필요한 정보를 모으고 그걸 통해서 아이디어를 발견하게 됩니다. 저 역시 정보수집과 공부를 통해서 아이디어를 찾아 나갑니다.

2. About this NewCreatives work (NewCreatives 작품에 대한 해설)
① 1st work (첫 번째 작업)
If you look the final work you can see frowning man. But in the photo, the face is filled with playfulness.
I wanted to show the hidden image of man. All of us live happy life. But we may dark side from other people like anger.

I think that we want to express ideas freely. However we are caged in our society, repress our feelings.

최종결과물을 보시면 사람이 인상을 쓰고 있는 모습이 보입니다. 허나 최종 그림이 위에 올라가기 전 사진을 보시면 사실 장난기 있는 얼굴이 보입니다.
이렇게 저는 사람의 숨겨진 모습을 표현해보고 싶었습니다. 사람들은 모두 웃으면서 생활하지만, 사실은 분노라든지 어두운 면들을 숨기고 살아가는지도 모릅니다. 밖으로 자기 생각을 마음껏 표출하고 싶은데, 사회라는 틀에 갇혀서 자신을 억누르고 있다고 생각합니다.
작업 중에 사진을 파란색으로 바꾸는 과정이 있었는데, 이것이 보이지 않는 '사회'라는 하나의 틀이라 생각이 들었습니다.

저는 현재 PAPER TOY ARTIST로 활동 중입니다. 예전 활동 중 쌈지길에서 대중과 즐길 수 있는 페이퍼 아트토이 이벤트를 한 적이 있습니다. 이것은 그때 작업했던 작품입니다. 산타 얼굴을 크게 만들어 직접 착용하고 쌈지길에서 이벤트를 하였는데, 그때를 생각하면서 작업해보았습니다.
3. What’s the story behind your work? (제작 과정 및 이야기)
I wanted to express my hidden inner through my work.
First, I sketched for my style and formed an idea of the whole work. I used Adobe Illustrator to draw main frame.

Adobe Photoshop was used for retouching and finishing touches. The photo was taken by artist Kaze.
저는 제 작품을 통해 내면에 숨겨진 모습을 표현해 보고 싶었습니다. 파랑색 컬러와 숨겨진 모습, 이미지 색상이 잘 어울린다고 생각했습니다.
먼저 평소 제 작업 스타일대로 스케치하여 구상을 한 후, 컴퓨터로 작업을 하였습니다. 기본 구성 작업은 Adobe Illustrator 를 사용했고, 보정과 마무리 작업은 Adobe photoshop 에서 하였습니다. 사진은 같이 스튜디오를 쓰고 있는 kaze 작가님이 찍어주셨습니다.

Right. Always try your best and you will have a big chance. There are many people of like mind. Also, there are many people who have talents. But there are not many people who want the race to end.

"최초가 되어라. 최초가 될 수 없다면 최고가 되어라, 최초도 최고가 될 수 없다면 기회를 기다리며 최선을 다해라."
그렇습니다. 최선을 다하다 보면 언젠가는 우리에게 기회가 옵니다. 비슷한 생각을 하는 사람들은 많습니다. 그리고 재능을 가진 사람 역시 많습니다. 허나 그중에 끝까지 최선을 다하는 사람은 많지 않습니다.
최선을 다하기 위해서 한 번쯤은 "정말 당신이 즐거운 작업을 하고 있는가?"라는 생각을 해볼 필요가 있습니다. 다시 말해 ‘흥미’라는것이 필요하다고 생각합니다. 전 그래서 계속해서 최선을 다해 즐기면서 작업을 할 것입니다.
