Transmedia is an approach to communication that underscores need for designers to develop a broad range of skillsets in order to communicate through both traditional and emerging media in a very seen less way. Inherent in this approach is firm understanding of unique opportunities and characteristics each media affords, from the materiality of print based to the dimensionality of environmental design to the dynamics of interactions to glowing subsidiaries screen.
Transmedia designers are required to explore innovative tools, technologies, in relation to changing social and technological conditions of communication.
