Sifeeyo - Branding Concept


Sifeeyo is a product-based project run by the NGO Water Aid Somalia. It aims to solve issues related to accessing clean water by providing an affordable, easy-to-use water filtration product. 

Sifeeyo seeks to eradicate infectious diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, typhoid fever, helminthiasis and other water-born infection, decrease death in children under 5 years old and educate communities on how to use Sifeeyo ceramic filters on every household, to improve overall expectancy life span of individuals.


The logo is inspired by the two-level filtration system used in the product. These representations of the two filtrations are then arranged in a circle which represents the local community. The logotype is in a sharp serif font, all in lower-case to bring about feelings of integrity and trust but at the same time a feeling of closeness.


The colours of the brand are inspired by water and ceramic. A primary colour of a dark blue, representing water and secondary colour of terracota to represent the ceramic pots used in the products. Lastly the tertiary colours are bluish shades of black and white, to complete the colour pallet.
