The 22 – 23 season of the Théâtre de Quat’Sous marked a certain return to normal by unveiling a complete and uncompromising program, finally! After two years of great “pandemic” commotion, the season revolves around the theme of fiction. As Olivier Kemeid, the artistic director of the Theatre, puts it so well: “Fiction is invention.[…] It is imagination at the helm”. And this is something that the theatre allows. To celebrate this great comeback to the stage, we imagined a larger-than-life display by integrating the characters of the season’s different plays in the same setting. Fictions confront, collide and create an intriguing image together. These same characters are then staged separately to promote each of the season’s productions.

La saison 22 – 23 du Théâtre de Quat’Sous marque un certain retour à la normale en dévoilant une programmation complète et sans compromis, enfin! Après deux années de grands tumultes «pandémiques», c’est autour du thème de la fiction que s’articule la saison. Comme le dit si bien Olivier Kemeid, le directeur artistique du Théâtre: «La fiction, c’est l’invention. (…) C’est l’imagination au pouvoir». Et c’est bien là quelque chose que le théâtre permet. Afin de célébrer ce grand retour du théâtre, nous avons imaginé une mise en scène plus grande que nature en intégrant les personnages des différentes pièces dans un même décor. Des fictions se confrontent, s’entrechoquent et créent une image intrigante. Ces mêmes personnages sont ensuite mis en scène séparément afin de promouvoir chacune des productions de la saison.
