The Rite of Spring

The Rite of Spring

My diploma project on MOME was ispired from the famous ballet piece The Rite of Spring, which was the born of the contemporary dance in 1912 in Paris.
In my work I expressed trough textile techniques the topic of the ballet piece, the reborn process, when something has to be destroyed in order to get the new form.
The connection of fine arts, motion theatre and fashion came to life in my work.
The knitted and woven materials was created from a mixture of cotton, linen and polyester threads, which connect with each other organically on the human body.
