Last year I discovered a photo by Carsten Witte found here: http://www.behance.net/gallery/More-Beauty/399333 and was inspired to draw it. With Mr Witte's permission, that is what I did :)
The first image below is the resulting drawing, which I was very happy with, but didn't know what to do to "complete" it as na artwork. So, I kept it in a folder until I could think of something to do.
A few months ago I was asked to exhibit some works in a local gallery, and found myself revisiting old works to bring up to scratch, as I didn't have enough time to start anything new. The second image on this page, is what resulted from that, after I spent some time perusing inspiration. I started painting with watercolour a few months after doing this Symmetry drawing, so chose to try my hand at a full painting. I'm quite happy with the result, though it is very exploratory.
