Latest works for an exhibition curated by myself and organised by Kaleidoscope Studio Brunei, featuring 5 different artists from Brunei Darussalam.

Thoughts, memories, fleeting impressions are the focus of my work. The shadowy world of the intangible is seen through my eyes as an abstract world of organic forms. Utilising forms that can be found in nature, I create imagery through stream of consciousness drawing. My lines create a dense network of layers and strokes that combine to form intricate images meant to function as springboards for the imagination. Psychological in nature, these networks of lines and shapes can reflect a viewers own psyche as it acts a trigger to inspire imagery from their own minds. Although many of the shapes have some sort of personal meaning, my belief is that every structure emits an aura or an individual impression unique to that formation, and that each of my works are meant to be felt rather than deciphered as a particular ‘thing.’ The infinite cycles of life, as well as emotional cycles are also a theme that I am particularly fond of and my pattern work pays tribute to that as there are infinite ways and interpretations of these contortions. They are indeed contortions of the familiar shapes you find in flora and fauna, and this is another way of expressing her unique perspective on the distorting lens of the imagination.
