As tradicionais tapiocas maranhenses são popularmente conhecidas na região como “beiju”, com escrita e sonoridade semelhante a um afetuoso e rápido beijinho no rosto. A marca Bitoca serve aconchego e tradução traduzido em alimento.
Bitoca was a design project created for a family business that produces traditional northeastern Brazilian food, called “tapiocas”, but also known as “beiju”. The naming idea came from the similarity found between 3 major words: the original recipe name, the word “Beijo”, which means kiss in Portuguese, and the local slang “bitoca”, a quick and affectionate kiss.
