Subject : Design a thermoformable kitchen product. Conceive an ABS plastic prototype and its plywood mold. Limited dimensions.
Lenght: 4 weeks.
Observation : Most of the stainers present weaknesses : they are hard to clean, to store, not really aesthetic nether convinient.
The «Bridge» strainer
We decided to design a strainer resting on both sides of the sink to insure its stability. The curves are fluids and its rectangular shape makes it storage easier. The elongated shaped holes prevents them from getting clogged. This allows a better hygiene. There are sprouts at each sides of it to ease transfer. The handles are integrated in the global curve.
