Because of the popularity to "pay it forward" in the Joplin community, our project recieved a range of media coverage. These photographs were taken to promote the t-shirts and to be in the local newspaper, on television news, and in the local university's newsletter.

This was one of our booths we set up at a local concert venue. 

We took two trips that summer. This trip in particular allowed us to see the devastating damage and to meet with the families who had lost their homes and loved ones. Where the Plaza Towers Elementary school had been, there was a memorial site where the fence surrounded had tshirts from all the volunteers and those that gave their sympathy.
