Tungsram came to Laboratory Group with a challenge to develop a new, innovative way to recruit workforce for their headquarters in Budapest. We came up with an idea that took the process into the real world: with a large, projection-on-canvas based textile cube that used lasers to detect pressure as a homemade touchscreen.

UI Iterations
The challenge was the medium: the touchscreen was a large, 2x2 meters canvas made out of textile that used laser based pressure sensors to detect user input. It wasn't really accurate so during the testing phase we went through multiple layouts that enabled the most reliable user touch detection. We had to consider the installation's location, since the installation was a projection based UI, it had to work under various lighting coniditons, so we had to go though multiple ideas. The finished layout worked well and the users had a blast trying out this new kind of recruitment tool.
