Maison Martin Margiela Store Beijing

COCOONS

Designing something for Maison Martin Margiela which is one of the most conceptual fashion brands on the market is a big challenge. After analysing the brand’s key values and statements we decided that the cocoon may be the symbol that captures perfectly the spirit of Margiela.

A cocoon is something that may not look well on the outside, but it is wonderful on the inside, as it hides one of the most fascinating processes that nature has to offer - reinventing of life.

For the Beijing store we propose a contrast between inside and outside, external appearance and inner beauty, the emotion of discovering Margiela as a way of reinventing one’s personal fashion.
