I designed two different posters for an event organized by Istanbul Experimental. The event featured two screenings - a selection of music videos and a horror feature film titled "Offerings" - followed by a party with live performances by multiple DJs. The posters were created to promote the event and capture the excitement and energy of the evening's entertainment.
"OFFERINGS"
For the design of the first poster, the goal was to encapsulate the eerie atmosphere of the film being screened. To achieve this, film stills were incorporated to provide a sneak peek for viewers and give them an idea of what to expect. To ensure the poster was easily readable for both Turkish and international audiences, minimal text was used and a clear, outlined typeface was chosen for the film's title. This helped to effectively convey the desired mood and provide necessary information in a visually appealing way.
"MUSIC VIDEO SELECTIONS"
For the second poster design for the event, I chose to feature shots from the music video selections and list their titles. The goal was to create a composition that was reminiscent of hanging screens. By using visual elements from the music videos and presenting them in a unique layout, the poster was able to effectively convey the focus of the event and capture the attention of the audience.
