A women led group spearheaded by ex IAS officer Dipa Bagai created a unique forest in the middle of a colony of concrete houses .Planted in the Miyawaki technique where you get a 100 year old forest in 10 years .The forest is now 2 years old .Multiple local species are planted very close to each other so that they grow tall instead of wide and form thick jungle like canopy very quickly .
I had the opportunity to capture the beginning of the project and the progress and these are
some of the drone shots of the woman made forest.
