FAB HUB 3D PRINTED PAVILION

fab HUB Pavilion
A project made by bachelor students of architecture at Faculty of Fine Arts Alexandria University class 2022 as a Final Project of the Digital Fabrication Course under the supervision of Dr. Mohsen Mohamed Merdash
the project is located in Alexandria, Egypt
a coastal city well known for its overlooking sea where you can find the jellyfish
which is considered the source of inspiration in this project
The project was to apply what we studied in the cource in the real world
we used additive manufacturing techniques for the Pergola and cnc laser cutting for the chair
_______
The project was divided into 4 phases from designing with a cad based model ,testing material with 3d printer, fabrication and then to final phase of assembly
phase 1 :  making CAD model for the unit based model alongside a proposed cnc chair
phase 2 : from CAD to CAM using a 20*20*20 workspace 3d printer
phase 3 : Assembling the units which was made easy by adding number to each unit model alongside a name for each student
We all gathered in one atelier to finish assembling the units into 9 groups to make it easier for the final assembly of the project
PHASE 4 : We added steel columns and beams to support the model as well as a cnc laser cutted timber chair
