For this project I was asked to design a boat building workshop for the centre of Lincoln. The focus of this project was all about how our clients would be building and creating in the spaces that I had to design, and as I chose to design for a fibreglass boat manufacturer I would be researching the way fibreglass boats are constructed.

My concept was to create a semi transparent wall the creating interesting light patterns that would be cast out onto the walkways around the site and also give the workers some privacy to the outside.

In my final design, I had the main workshop on show to the shop floor and the office spaces so that there was a real connection to all of the parts of the building and people in the shop could see how the boats were being built.
