Did you know that Orangutans will use leaves to cover from the rain?

 

I recreated an illustration of a Oranugtan that I drew recently, in Blender. For the challenge I set myself; to learn 3D modeling and animation.

 

For this specific project, I focused on modeling a character with hair/fur by using a particle system. The orangutan is entirely modelled and textured by me. For the environment I used third party textures and models. I used and adapted Rigify to pose the model.
