This is a set of book covers I designed for The Cairo Trilogy. The covers are raised off of the front of the books 1/2 inch and are laser cut to resemble the intricate lattice screens which cover the windows in the traditional Egyptian household. These screens serve primarily as a protection and to conceal the women inside. I designed the patterns and drew the illustrations.
