In early September Matt Reached out to me to do promos for his upcoming release,  "This is Halloween" from Tim Burton's masterpiece Nightmare before Christmas. 

I was really excited to hear more about it. Matts Vision was something vivid with color, with a nostalgic feel to it, spooky. My goal was to bring his vision to life, but also maintain a refined look & feel to the images that I felt is Matts brand. 

With pro-production Matt and I worked on a mood-board and came together with something in mind like what you see below! 

This was an on location shoot, outside of a studio But thankfully we had a space available to us to use for me to set up my equipment needed. 

For this I used a Three Light set up. 

At the Top right of Matt I had a Goodox ad400 Pro set up with a Westscott Projector attachment with the magenta Color gel on. At the top right I had another Goodox Ad400 Pro that was bare bulbed, with a blue Gel. I used this as the Key. Lastly, I had a Orlit 600RT at the center Behind the camera that was also Bare bulb, but with no gel. The idea for that Light with no Gel was to Dilute the other color gels, so I could have the option to adjust the saturation of the color in the image more in post. I felt it was better to have the option to desaturate with some natural skin tone still there, something I would had not been able to do in post other wise. I was shooting with white light to add the color in later, so I felt this was the best way to having any option later on in post.
