    Twitter Knitter for Budweiser's Chrostmas Campaign.
Meet Knitbot. This is Budweiser’s Twitter powered knitting machine. Launched on Tuesday 26th November, Knitbot was dreamed up to promote the importance of having designated drivers during the Yuletide celebrations.
Any time someone tweets with the hashtag mention #jumpers4des on Twitter, a chip in the Knitbot registers this and more jumpers are knitted as a result. The Winter warmers have the traditional Budweiser Clydesdale horse emblazoned on them, along with some snowflakes – very festive.
Of the campaign Budweiser’s UK marketing manager, Jennifer Anton has said, “We wanted to promote and celebrate the important role that designated drivers play in a fun and engaging way, with out own take on the festive knitwear trend. We believe this process of knitting by the power of tweets is the first of its kind, and the end result with our Knitbot machine is something quite spectacular.”
The promotion will run until the 6th December, and for those that appreciate and support designated drivers can head over to the official Budweiser UK Facebook page to be in with a chance of winning won of the jumpers. So all that is left to do is start knitter-ing away.
